As fall sets in, and the weather begins to change, a low-key Friday night maybe what you are in search of. You won’t have to look any farther than the streets of downtown Morgantown.
On Friday October, 1st there is the annual Arts Walk sponsored by Main Street Morgantown, Monongalia Art Center and Arts Monongahela.
The event begins at 6 pm and ends around 9 pm. Walking through downtown you can pick up unique and colorful bookmarks, and discover the latest works of art by local artists.

There will also be music playing at various locations downtown as well.
So if you’re looking for an alternative Friday night party grab a few friends and head downtown for some playful music and vibrant art.

Fan Friday

Do you ever feel like fashion gets put on the bench when it comes to WVU football games? On game day that same old gold maniac's shirt is always the star player. Well, we came up with some ideas to say no to same-old-worn-before, and put fashion sense back on the field. This week we cut a flying WV into the back of our shirts

The HOW TO:
  1. Spread a shirt face down on a flat surface.
  2. Trace a flying WV onto the shirt with a washable marker.
  3. Cut VERTICAL lines about 1 inch apart inside your WV. Horizontal lines will not work... trust us.... we have ruined shirts!
  4. Throw your shirt in the wash to get out the maker lines and make the cut edges curl up and your done!

The cut out WV looks great by itself or with a contrasting tank underneath. You can change it up too: try cutting out the state of West Virginia or your favorite player's number. Check back next Friday for more Fan Friday ideas. Can't wait to see you all rockin your cut up t-shirt game day! Lets GOOOOOO Mountaineers!

Welcome!

Welcome to the first official blog post of the Fashion Business Association (FBA) at West Virginia University! This blog is intended to keep you up to date with tips on fashion, and to have a little fun in between. We will be updating this blog every day, and possibly more. So let’s get down to it with the first big question you might be asking: What is the purpose (idea, point, or theme) of the Fashion Business Association’s Blog?
Our goal here is to spread the word about FBA as an organization. We will be updating the blog daily, as of September 21, 2010. Our hope is to make the West Virginia University campus more aware, not only of FBA, but what the organization does. We will be having posts daily about homemade goods, trend spotting, things going on around WVU’s campus, local designers, and updates on what FBA is doing as an organization!

If you have any tips, ideas, or suggestions e-mail as at fba.wvu@gmail.com
